Katherine Alsop

Katherine has more than 3 years’ experience in the online world, having worked in France and Australia in both the public and private sectors. With the majority of her career having been in the web space, Katherine is highly proficient in designing systems that are both accessible and highly usable.  Prior to joining Stamford, Katherine held positions with Tourism Victoria, the Department of Education (Victoria) and Alcatel (France).

Amir Ansari

Amir has been working in the product and graphic design industry for over nine years. In the last seven years he has also gained skills in the areas of interface and interaction design and usability, in the web, PC and mobile space. Through applying his skills to the usability and interface design area, Amir has the ability to ensure a rich and successful user experience, while still meeting business goals.

Stephen Cheshire

Stephen has been working in the web industry for over ten years. During this time he has gained experience working for web design and development agencies, advertising companies and not-for-profit organisations in Australia and Europe. Stephen’s experience working with a range of interfaces has exposed him to a wide variety of user and business requirements. 

Tony Cox

Tony is a director of Stamford Interactive and has over 20 years experience both within IT and in business analysis and project management. Tony has worked in various Project Management and senior positions within the Printing, Educational, Utilities, Local Government, Funds Management, Petroleum, Health, Airline and Banking sectors. Tony is a member of the Australian Institute of Project Management and has successfully completed his Master in Business Administration.

Paul Cruse

Paul is a director and founding member of Stamford Interactive. One of Australia’s most experienced practitioners, Paul has undertaken over 50 successful consulting, design and evaluation projects for customers within Industry, Commerce and State/Federal Government in a career spanning over 16 years in the field of usability. 

Paul’s strengths include his ability to consistently deliver high quality results with a high level of customer satisfaction on every occasion.

Ruth Ellison

Ruth is a human computer interaction (HCI) specialist having worked in the field for approximately eight years. After studying Human Factors and Information Technology at university and graduating with honours, Ruth has worked with two large, high profile government agencies assisting in the set up of user-centred design (UCD) teams and integrating UCD techniques and methodologies into everyday business. 

Ruth co-convenes the Canberra branch of the Web Standards Group and recently represented Australia as the user experience expert in the FullCodePress competition. She also acts as a tutor at the University of Canberra for students studying HCI. Ruth has a particular passion for accessibility and oversaw accessibility standards in both Centrelink and DIAC.

Emma Gangemi

Emma is a talented, successful and highly motivated User Experience Architect, with over eight years experience. During her career as a User Experience Architect, Emma has worked for a number of high profile companies, including Mitsubishi Motors, Sensis/Trading Post and Channel 4 UK where she worked on websites such as Big Brother UK, 4Music prototype, E4.com and Film4.

As well as being a very accomplished practioner, Emma’s strengths lie in effective communication, attention to detail and finding a balance between business and user requirements.

Amanda Harding - Consulting Services Manager

Amanda is a communications specialist with a strong interest in the field of human computer interaction. Amanda has over nine years of experience in online communication with specific focus on information architecture, user centred design, accessibility compliance, content development, content auditing and analysis, and content quality assurance. 

Meghan Hayes

Meghan is a usability consultant with experience in all aspects of the user-centred design and development process. Her breadth of skills includes information architecture and interface development (for corporate, government, financial, social networking and e-commerce websites, intranets, web applications, and software), information design, and the coordination of higher-level experience design projects. With more than 9 years usability experience in the highly competitive New York market, Meghan has honed the art of satisfying both business and user needs.

Patti Hunt

Patti is a highly skilled project manager and business analyst with over 15 years experience working across a variety of sectors including IT, education, pharmaceutical, finance and government departments. Patti’s focus on user-centred design principles, quality web content and information architecture ensures that the people using web-based technologies can achieve their goals and find the experience intuitive, informative and enjoyable.

Susan Ingram

Susan has over seven years experience working with organisations to help them make better decisions using her usability, interaction design, visual communication, information architecture, project management and business analysis skills. Susan’s experience is across a wide variety of interactive solutions such as intranets, websites, online applications, software, and online games for many different industries and businesses.

Craig Kelly - General Manager, Canberra

Craig is an experienced Senior Project Manager who has worked across a diverse range of disciplines including intranet design, portal implementation, on-line servicing, call centre management, performance management and service delivery strategy. Craig has experience in user analysis, business analysis and documentation of requirements. Craig’s practical approach and energy allow him to work closely with people to achieve positive outcomes. 

Scott Lacey

Scott is an experienced designer who has worked extensively in multimedia and advertising. With more than a decade as a new media practitioner, Scott has developed a skill for making useful and engaging projects for both the corporate and the government sectors. With a background in both interface design for both web and CD_ROM projects, Scott combines an ability to distill the needs of the user into meaningful designs with a solid understanding of underlying technical issues. This combination means his designs are both effective and feasible.

Paul Liddelow

Paul is an experienced usability consultant and visual designer, with seven years of experience in the fields of market research, information technology, graphic design and usability. He has developed skills in interface, interaction, and visual design applying user-centred design principles in all of these areas.  Paul excels in producing contemporary, beautiful, and standards-based design, working hard to keep fully up-to-date with industry trends.

Chris Lock

Chris is a director of Stamford Interactive and specialises in harmonising people, organisations, IT and processes to achieve successful change and to optimise business benefits for clients.  During some 23 years as a consultant, Chris has worked on the user-centred design of equipment, user interfaces, tasks and business processes as well as in related areas including training needs analysis, communications, management of change, and business process improvement. 

Melinda Maher

Melinda is an accomplished user experience practitioner having worked in the information technology industry for around 6 years. She specialises in Human Computer Interaction and user experience and has worked with intranets, websites and web applications. Melinda is passionate about the user experience and has undertaken many user research activities such as contextual inquiries, card sorting and task analysis, information architecture design, user interface design, usability testing, expert usability evaluation and heuristic reviews.

Melinda has an innate ability to work with people, enabling her to draw out the needs of users in a non threatening way as well as working with developers and graphic designers to ensure that the needs of the user are faithfully reflected in the end product.

Kristian Martin

Kristian is a highly skilled business analyst and consultant with extensive experience in requirements identification and management, business process design, workflow mapping and business process re-engineering. Having a keen interest in usability, Kristian enjoys working closely with clients and end-users to co-operatively design, enhance and implement business/IT systems, including intranets, company websites and point of sales interfaces. He enjoys researching and utilizing existing and emerging technologies to help support clients in achieving their goals.

Carmine Mastrantone

Carmine has over eight years of experience in both web design and project management.  Carmine’s expertise is in synthesising the needs of the user into meaningful online solutions and combining this with a strong understanding of the underlying technical issues. Much of Carmine’s experience was gained while working in the UK where he obtained New Media Management qualifications from the University of London.

Lisa McArley

Lisa has over 14 years experience in both traditional and “new” media including television, radio, IVR and the Internet. For the past seven years, Lisa has focussed on the online world, advising and supporting clients on how to better reach their audiences and achieve business goals by using her thorough project management, user experience, information architecture, business analysis and marketing communication skills. 

Adrian Newton - General Manager, Sydney

Adrian is a seasoned IT consultant with capabilities spanning business process analysis, requirements documentation, system design and project management. Adrian is also an experienced IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) implementation resource, with deep exposure to service management systems and practices in retail, finance and public service sectors. Always client focused, one of Adrian’s key roles at Stamford is to provide specialist advice in interfacing between usability specialists and systems implementation contractors.

Diane Pierce

Diane (Di) has worked extensively in the online space, building up skills and knowledge across interface and interaction design, UCD methodologies and accessibility standards. Di has thorough interpretive skills, with the ability to apply them to achieve practical and obtainable solutions so as to successfully meet business and project goals.

Di maintains a strong belief that online systems should be usable and accessible for all users regardless of browser, operating system or device.

Maurice Savelli

Maurice has worked in the User Centred Design (UCD) field for over a decade, acquiring experience in all aspects of UCD methodology, including requirements gathering techniques, information architecture, interaction design, usability and accessibility assessment. He has had the opportunity to apply this knowledge to some of the Federal Government’s largest change programs from an operational, management and strategic perspective. Maurice has the ability to implement design solutions to achieve successful business outcomes whilst maintaining a focus on the users’ needs. This is because he understands the machinations of Government and what it takes to turn conceptual ideas into a tangible, effective and successful outcome.

Scott Turner - General Manager, Perth

With a diverse career spanning 10 years in Information Technology, Scott brings a unique skill set to any project, with strengths in project management, interface, industrial and new media design.

Leveraging his experience in usability on both software and hardware applications, Scott has worked on a varied cross section of projects applying aesthetics, usability and ergonomic principles in product design and development, as well as interface design and usability analysis to software control systems and online monitoring systems.

Stephen Zafir - Design Director

Stephen is a seasoned digital designer and programme manager whose 12 year experience in digital communications and user-centred design spans information and system architecture, visual and interaction design, strategy and concept development and design programme management in the U.K. Germany, the USA and Australia.

With a proven focus on innovation, Stephen’s credits include the full system design of a future communications platform for Siemens; a first-of-type application delivery system for British Telecom and the development of an integrated communications interface for BT /Yahoo.
